I dislike CJ, but I don't blame him for this really. He wasn't there and only knows what his kid is telling him. I am sure that the investigation turned up plenty of other stuff about the pirate that has been overlooked until now. Think of the crazy stuff you could have told your parents to make them go bat-shoot-crazy. James didn't really go media until after the suspension, when he pretty much had to so that his employer could get a nice scoop. I do believe that his political future should be zero based on his own recruiting history. He needs to really come clean.
Agreed. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I even understand that CJ meddled in his son's career at TT on earlier occasions, but kid tells dad that he has concussion and that coach put him in the brig . . .
According to current and former coaches and players that ESPN didn't interview, Baby James was a spoiled, whiny kid. Just saying.
How can a guy known primarily as someone who took giant cash payments to play football in college, and contributed to his school being awarded the only death penalty ever handed down by the NCAA, have any political aspirations? Shouldn't this fact fairly be a major campaign question raised by any opponent?
Just asking- but is it a well proven fact that CJ took payments to play football? And, is there any doubt as to whether or not his son had a concussion?
OK, I guess I don't know that James personally was one of the players on the team taking the payments. I don't think the NCAA names individuals. Maybe they did back then. Some research would be required.
Well if there is one thing we can all agree on, it is that politics is pretty unpredictable. I don't know what James' political aspirations are, or even know where he stands on the issues of the day, but if you can speak effectively, project confidence, show knowledge of the issues and come off as a leader, people will forget a lot about all the other stuff.
