...hope you get game day weather and conditions that the Bucks and Ducks had for the Rose Bowl. It was the most spectacular setting I've ever seen for a football game (the outcome didn't hurt either). Remember this: No one, and I mean no one, was giving Ohio State a chance vs. the "new age" Oregon offense. Speed, speed, speed. Bucks have no shot. I knew Oregon had not faced a DL like Ohio State's and that's the key to stopping that offense. I said Oregon would not score 20 pts. and got laughed at (they weren't getting a cherry). Well, no one is giving the Horns a chance...except thee and me. The Bammers think they'll run your D off the field. Way wrong. When their running game gets stuffed they'll be left with half an offense. It won't be enough. Hook 'em
yeah, your guys played a nice game. there were a lot of guys on this board jacking off to visions of Oregons O in place of ours. Ours is better. Much better.
College Football, meet T. Pryor who had his coming out, possibly. He played a great game and yet he still could have done better! Smooth out those rough edges and let's see what happens. How did Ohio St lose to SC? Tressel played too conservative, even more so than Coach February. Ohio St pre-season #2 next season, behind #1 Alabama.

Shark, I've always enjoyed your classy posts here over the years. Good win over the Ducks. Just curious. did you happen to notice what ticket prices were going for outside the stadium for your game? I just like to keep track of this sort of thing. In the Texas/Michigan Rose Bowl, tix could be secured for well under $50 apiece. Is that typical for a non-BCS championship Rose?
Whatever. Pac 10 is obviously the most over-rated conference this year. Beat a real team and we'll be impressed.
I think next years pre-season polls will be fun to see. I am not a fan of them to begin with but next year should be fun as there is likely to be some "lesser" conferences could have some teams in there. TCU and Boise St. for sure. The voters will maybe feel guilty or sorry for TCU if they win tomorrow night and reward them with a higher ranking to reward them if they go undefeated. The road would possibly be a bit easier? Texas loses a decent amount to where a top ten ranking would be about right. Again, pre-season polls suck and I wish they did not have them but we have what we have.

I guess coaches need to be convinced a guy like he or Vince just need a chance to be their type of player. I'm betting the Vest is convinced. Great pic of the venue. At the 2006 game it got pretty chilly by 3rd quarter, later start makes a big difference.
Hey Shark...good win for the Buckeyes...I talked to my Ohio kinfolk and they were stoked after the game. I hope some of that tOSU mojo's left over for us come Thursday night. Awesome pic, by the way...the RB has to be the BEST venue for college football during the bowl season. (While I'm thinking about it...how were the In & Out burgers?)

Ohio State's gonna be tough as hell next year. I'm not telling you why right now. Let's just say I have a little surprise for all of you later this week. I guarantee all of you will enjoy it. For what it's worth, it's not me switching teams. Never have never will. It's something else entirely.
