I am looking for a dry cleaner in the Austin area that will clean my wedding dress. I don't want to drop it off just anywhere since I spent a fortune on it...anyone with experience on this subject?
I live in South Austin and staying in the area would be great but I will travel if a ceartain cleaners comes highly recommended.

    Thanks in advance!

Can't remember the name, but the dry cleaner across from Guero's is who I used. They came highly recommended, and they did a great job with mine.

Edit: I believe it's Washburn's Cleaners on South Congress.

I just got married no the beach in Hawaii last week. My wife is looking for a similar recommendation to clean a wedding dress in Dallas. It got a little wet sand on it.

My recommendation is to just sell the damn thing. Otherwise it'll just take up a lot of attic or closet space, and never, ever get opened.

(for the record, I have unsuccessfully lobbied my wife to do this)

I still have my dress (almost 26 years later) in a big box at the top of the closet. Since I was blessed with three boys, there is little chance that anyone will ever wear it again. So, I've decided that when my boys start families of their own, I'm going to cut it up and use the satin, lace, and beads/pearls, to make Christmas stockings for each of my grandchildren's first Christmases. I think it will end up being a nice legacy for them to have a stocking from their very first Christmas that was made from their grandmother's wedding dress.

    That's a really cool idea.

I'd say yal should call the shops where you bought the dresses and see where they recommend.
