Is there anything better. Really is there? It's easy to make and delicious. I would have to say no. Who agrees?
it is absolutely fabulous and there are thousands of variations, such as the honey mentioned above, or bananas, etc...
Just when I thought that the perfect food....peanut butter....couldn't get any better......... .........I discovered the peanut butter machine next to the bulk nuts section at HEB, and realized that you can load it with Honey-Roasted Peanuts!!!!!!!!!!
Goober sammich rules....although I prefer pb and honey sandwiches for energy when I ride my bike instead of cliff bars.
You must try it with Smucker's Red Raspberry Preserves. It will set you free. I also affirm the spoon comment. PB&J stands well on its own.
I tried it tonight with strawberry, plum and blueberry preserves. Yikes! Can't wait for my banana's to ripen. I grew up here in Austin with a friend that moved here from South Dakota. He is an MD in practice here still. His favorite was peanut butter and tuna fish sandwiches. I've never been able to take that leap of faith though...
I just discovered the Honey Peanut Butter in the store...wow that stuff is good.. I grew up eating syrup-peanut butter sandwiches...
Nothing hits the spot like using some Frito Scoops to eat some PB straight out of the jar. Two of natures most perfect foods together.
Ok, apparently nobody here has ever had a "fluffernutter"... peanut butter and marshmallow fluff. I love PB&J, but nothing compares to a fluffernutter Seriously, if you have never had one (I'm from the northeast and I realize it's not a southern thing) before scoffing at it, try it
i have been putting peanut butter on my waffles with maple syrup since i was a kid and it is still amazing to this day.
I hadn't had peanut butter in forever until the other day. My sister had left a half full jar of it after a trip over, and having nothing to snack on, I got a spoonful. Turned into four or five spoonfuls. Ended up eating the jar in about a week. Forgotten how good that is! I haven't had jam in forever, but I almost broke that one too. I fly out of Oregon on occasion and if you've been to the Portland airport, they have a store in the terminal that has Oregon products, and included in it is a big section of jams, fruit spread, jellies, pie filling. Between marionberry, blackberry, boysenberry, loganberry, raspberry... pretty much every berry known to man, I was sorely tempted to get one of the sample jars and take it on the plane.
Growing up my dad turned me on to peanut butter and hot dogs. Just to be clear I’m talking about a slice of bread, peanut butter on one side and a raw hot dog rolled up in the middle. I’ve been eating them forever. You’ll probably think that I’m crazy but you have to try it.
Crunchy peanut butter spread on a fresh made Central Market jalapeno flour tortilla...roll it up and enjoy.
Peanut butter, mustard, bacon, and fried egg on white bread(not toasted). Also try substituting turkey or ham for the bacon and egg.
Fluffernutter Jingle texascoder, that jingle was a permanent song in our house for years! I think this is still my favorite PB sammich. My M-I-L's homemade strawberry freezer preserve with PB is a close second, followed by the non-artery friendly PB and butter.
