Speaking of Sedona, I found it odd that the Statesman did not name her as their Centex Player of the Year; she was first team, though. POY went to a guard from Hendrickson, I believe.
I've never heard of John Posey and the Urban Sports blog but I'm loving his description of Audrey Warren.
Audrey and Joanne have sort of been forgotten about so it’s great to see good things from them. Also, Coach Aston continues to do a good job of adding quality perimeter jump shooters with both of those players.
That's so true. I think Coach Aston got two really outstanding players in those two to go with Sedona and Charlie.
Needless to say, this guy thinks very highly of Audrey. Glad to know she's still hard at work during the post-season.
It would be great if Audrey came in ready to go and able to compete for minutes at the SF (third guard) position. She definitely seems to have the shooting skills, so it might come down to her defense and understanding of the offense.
I was just about to share this! So far today, Posey has referred to AW as “ The Shooter,” “The Truth,” and to her skills as “an art form.” Agree, glad to see she’s doing the work that could allow her to compete for minutes. Woohoo!
i have been psyched about Audrey Warren ever since I read Ellis21d's rave review of her at last summer's camp. John Posey's opinion, and her winning the contest reinforces that expectation.
That photo is 4 years old but PN lists her at 6' 2" and the most recent articles I've seen stated 6' 2" so let's agree to go with that. We'll definitely know in June - 1 thing about UT WBB, I can't recall them fudging height numbers. Here's a picture with her mom Erica from February 2018. Any Longhorn fans recall how tall Erica was?
Mmmmmm, mulling.....Mom's an ex-WNBA player....and currently a high school coach....does that fit a certain job profile listed? Mmmm?
