(Reminds me of Xerxes stretching out his hand to Leonidas in "300")
Excepts from a great sad/glad story about Prince:
Football coach Eric Taylor remembers the day word got out about Prince Sammons, a highly recruited 6-foot-8 junior two-way lineman playing for unbeaten Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy. It happened when Sammons was a freshman, before he played a single down on the field.
"A football scout that I know was interested in some of our guys. Prince kind of stands out, and he caught the attention of the scout," Taylor said. "He asked me who he was. I said it was our water boy; he wasn't eligible to play yet.
Sammons' improbable rise from water boy to one of the most sought-after college football recruits in the country is merely the latest twist in a tale that began in Nigeria, where Sammons was known as the tall one named Prince Micheal, a manchild in the Lagos region whose heart was as big as his frame.
Sammons, a natural athlete and nimble for his size, has a 7-foot wing span and weighs 268 pounds, according to Taylor... He's been playing football two years for the two-time MVC co-champions. Prior to that, he had never heard of the sport, thinking the subject was soccer when it was first introduced in conversation.
