In her first WNBA game (preseason), Imani scored 10 points on 5-6 shooting including a couple of midrange shots (her 1 miss was a layup) and had 5 rebounds with 1 block as Chicago thumped NY 93-59. She came off the bench and played just under 13 minutes.
Would have been shocked if she hadn't made it but... If Chicago can play just slightly better defense than they did last season, they would be a team to make anyone nervous (even Minnesota and Phoenix).
For anyone interested, Imani's Chicago Sky takes on Carla's Atlanta Dream today at 2:00 PM - game will air on the NBA channel (Uverse 632/1632 in DFW). I'm pretty sure Imani has rejoined the team after graduation and this game should feature two of the best scorers in the league - EDD vs Angel McCoughtry.
Chicago vs Indiana - Imani with 16 pts and 11 rebounds off the bench in the 4th. Just got a steal off an inbound pass and went for the dunk and came up a bit short. Update:
Imani, in her first start, with her second double-double (12 pts/13 rebounds) of the season - Coaches Aston and Washington were in Chicago for the EYBL event and were at the game.
