I wouldn't be sad at all if it is Akina, but isn't he more of a man guy than a zone guy? I think Charlie and Bedford prefer zone defenses and Akina may not fit all that well. But then again, we are talking about Aklina. The man has forgotten more about secondary coaching than most coaches ever learned, and he will coach the position well. I also would wonder about how much fire he has left in him, and also if he would mesh with the younger "hustling-type" assistants who seem to work better with Charlie. In these things, sometimes chemistry is the most important factor to consider.
