Choked me up a little to watch that video about Freddie, that team and season. Also thought about other members of that incredible team that are gone now: Leo Brooks, James Street, Danny Lester, Greg Ploetz and of course DKR.
Michael Griffin Bowie HS. Two time all conference. AA in 2006. Eighth in Texas history in tackles. The importance of his pick in the Rose Bowl vs. SC cannot be overstated. Monster play. You could argue his backfield was not the best in school history, but not convincingly.
That, Nobis' hit on Namath and Stonie Clark's hit against ou in '94 have are probably the top three individual hits that meant something. However Bryant Wesbrook's body of work was unbelievable.

Bubba Jacques Conroe HS. While lacking the hardware and individual plaudits for some who have graced this thread, he made my day October 12, 1991 returning a Mike McKinley fumble 30 yards in a 10-7 victory over the Sooners.
