Joe, can't be said enough! Thanks for all your recruiting/twitter updates! First NSD is less than two months away!
The entire USC scene is imploding. Helton has blown his chance with the "community" wanting Carroll or Del Rio in that order.

What's the deal with Demas? 247 still shows him as a Hard Commit to aggy, but also has CB predictions of 83% Horns, 17% aggy. And then there's the rumor of Demas and Shepherd (50% Horns 50% aggy) recruiting for them.
Article from the AAS about Higgins " ... Texas was the early favorite, but the Longhorns were passed over by out-of-state programs as time went on and Higgins visited more schools. He’s a Florida native. The education at Stanford is a huge draw. Ohio State is a premier program playing for national championships on a yearly basis. No option is wrong. * * * * Texas already holds commitments from four receivers — five if Odessa Permian quarterback Peyton Powell moves to receiver once he arrives on campus. The Longhorns are also in the mix for five-star athlete Bru McCoy, who plans on playing wide receiver and some outside linebacker in college. Former TCU commit Kennedy Lewis is another receiver leaning toward Texas. The Longhorns would take Higgins regardless and find an open scholarship for such a dynamic player with size and athleticism. It also appears like they have contingency plans in case Higgins chooses Stanford or another school. ..."
He looks to be one of those guys that doesn't seem to be running fast yet is leaving everyone in the dust.
Watched that game live on ESPN. Hoover Alabama HS is an annual top 10 program in the states largest classification and ranked nationally from time to time. Hoover is a football factory in Bama. Thats not some JV team they were playing and that was a really impressive run. Just because he made them look bad doesnt mean they are bad.
Keep in mind that IMG team probably has 15-20 D1 players while Hoover may have one or two. IMG embarassed Hoover by something like 35-7, but for a regular HS team Hoover is about as good as it can get. They have lost 3 or 4 games this year and maybe having a down year, but I have no idea who they've played. Hoover usually travels out of state and plays a pretty tough schedule too. I think they were ranked 4th before this game even with the losses.
Hoover is to Alabama HS football as Permian was to Texas. Always nationally ranked, usually contending for the State Championship. Not a lot of D-1 talent but a fine example of TEAM me I hope they aren't still having to play on that old minor league baseball field.
When you consider he did the same thing to Mater Del only a blind guy is not impressed. This kid is the real deal, along the same lines as Adrian Peterson only faster. He comes to Texas, he will be on loan for 3 years before he is off to the NFL where he will be a top 5 NFL draft pick.
IMG is one of those schools like Bishop Gorman in Vegas, they play half of their schedule out of state. Traveling to play traditional powers every week.
IMG only travels because no one wants to support their "mission" or "purpose" or whatever the bastardization of HS athletes is called. Talking about "Meat on the Hoof"
