All the above. Air balls and shots hitting the back of the rim an indicator of tired legs. Need one more shot of redbull.
We are going back to our old ways. I think it's Celeste Taylor who needs to take over this game. Collier seems to be fading a bit
Well, I was hopeful we would at least be competitive, but this now is bordering on embarassing. Can we just wave the white flag and celebrate our surprise season?
Collier needs to step up! I don't know what it is with her when she plays competition but she gets so frazzled. She did the same thing against Maryland and turned it around in the 2nd half. Let's hope that's the case today and we see a different Collier.
Smart coaching to get all the unguarded points for Saxton. If Ebo had been in, it wouldn't have been so easy. Ebo's presence is good against a team like this. I hope she works hard on her offense for next year. We need Taylor to get more fired up.
I'm glad to see someone else on here understands that. Do we not realize the number of minutes our first five or six have had to play... and the way we play? Not just talking about the NCAA tournament, but the last week or two of the season then into the Big 12 tournament as well. Tired legs and emotionally drained. Hopefully we can dig deep and find something in the reserve tank. Whatever happens it's all good.
Saxton vs Warren was the matchup that I was concerned about before the game ever even started. My other worry was matching someone up with Cook.
I think sometimes our offense improves when our players no longer have the "dump it into the post even if she's got multiple defenders down there and isn't in position to do much" option whenever they get stuck - especially since at times that's followed by everyone else watching her and standing there.
Energy is just not there tonight (and understandably so). February and March has been a grueling schedule for this team. Good things in store for this program. They overachieved this year so the bar is already set high. Vic wouldn’t have it any other way I’m sure.
SC is just better. However they play with class and they’re coached with class. Unlike another Big 12 team. I’m not even mad at this - because I know the future is bright. Hook ‘em Horns.
And please folks, our point guards next year will be freshman. Very good freshman but freshman none the less. So all you arm chair coaches start biting your tongues now lol...
