Same school as Rickea - great opportunity for this young lady to show out in front of that group of coaches.
If we're starting at 2022 thread, then I want to share my current favorite player for 2022, Ashlon Jackson out of Houston. Great athlete, humble and very mature. Hard to believe she was just in 8th grade. She camped with Texas this summer. Full TV segment. It's way early but she currently has UConn as her favorite school. However, she does mention that she talks with Charli Collier for advice. https://www.12newsnow.com/video/spo...son-is-coming-to-a-court-near-you/502-8200508
Since the coaches are out watching them, guess we can start talking about them. Seems kinda early to me but I guess it's not.
I have her down as a 6-4 post in my notes. I believe she is the first 2022 recruit that Texas has offered (that I know about).
I’ll refrain from starting the thread 5 years out but promising 2023 wing Samantha Wagner (Irving Bush) was in Austin this weekend.
Jamie checking in on Ashlon no doubt. She is getting a lot of attention - other programs that have stopped by include Tennessee, FSU, Kansas, Texas Tech.
Thanks for the update on the Ashlon Jackson sweepstakes. FWIW, Ashlon is friends with 2020 Deyona Gaston.
More on Jennah: 5-11 W from Arizona who already has an offer from Arizona in May 2018. http://www.espn.com/high-school/girls-basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/235908 She has similar step through to finish at the rim that we see from LaShann. Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O4soTId07_Q Ranked 88th of the top 100 players to attend the U17 USA trials this past summer by ASGR, just above Deja Kelly at 89th. https://asgrbasketball.com/asgr-basketball-releases-usa-basketball-top-100-for-17-under-trials-2019-2022-evaluations-dawnstaley-coachjeffwalz-coach_berube-asgr1995-klhoops/
I saw this young lady play last week. Her name is Imani Lester and she has been playing varsity since 6th grade. She had multiple triple double against varsity players as an 8th grader and is now a 9th grader getting better everyday. North Carolina has a lot of talent right now.
Highly ranked point guard scored 34 while leading her team to the conference championship. This a video from earlier this year. I am going to try to find newer footage. She plays for the Carolina Flames on one of the top 5 teams in the country.
Great article about Ashton Jackson. Hardin-Jefferson freshman already has big time offers on the table I’m watching her play in the state finals against Argyle. She is definitely a phenom.
Anybody know what happened to Tionna Herrron? In this thread, a twitter said the the Horns had offered 6'-4" T Herron.....a freshman. However, in looking at the pictures and writeups of the playoffs, I cant find her. The other 6'-4" freshman S'Myla Smith had a great playoff run and is all over the sports pages. Did we offer the wrong DeSoto freshman post? Or is Herron injured?
