Just wish him luck. Didnt work out as he hoped here and he has been nothing but a team player and an excellent representative of a Texas Longhorn. Hope he finds the perfect spot!

May have left anyway but Sark not letting him play during Ewers terrible struggles vs Oklahoma State and TCU sent a loud and clear message to Card, I’m sure. Good dude :hookem:

Arkansas just lost their QB to the portal. Card would likely be starter day 1.

Can Auburn stay off probation long enough for Card to shine? Hate to see a kid of his character have to associate with Hugh Freeze.

Florida? Napier can coach and hopefully can recruit a supporting cast. It is a Tier 1 school, it is very difficult for the average out of state kid to gain admission. As a member of The Florida Foundation and Florida Alumni Association for 35 years, I would like to see the young man start at QB for the gators.

Yep. He may have transfered either way, but I suspect he's not confident he'd even get a fair chance next spring/summer (maybe not even to be the backup), which is a different situation than "It'll be tough to do, but at least I know if I do earn it, then I'll get it"

Seems Texas qb transfers end up doing pretty well. Crap - but I wish them well anyway.

I had zero expectation Card would be back with Arch coming in and Malik in the wings after his redshirt year. I wish him nothing but the best and hope that he finds a place that lets him accomplish what he is capable of. Shane Buechelle and Garrett Gilbert were fortunate in that regard Casey Thompson not so much so its no given. He may want to look at an SMU or UTSA as a great place to show his skills.

We'll probably get 7 or more incoming players. What goes around comes around.

Needs: LBs, WRs, a DB or 2.

And we still have the Pitt transfer WR who got hurt, correct? If’n Worthy bolts maybe he’ll step right in. Always wanted to say “ If’n”

A shame. He was the one in his class I was most excited about.

You ever notice that with very few exceptions, portal players end up in the same boat they were in,
    Kielien - Awesome.
    Watts - Awesome.
Other than that these cats transfer with baggage that a 19 year old doesn’t have the brain capacity to own, or they go from backup on team A to a backup in n team B.
    Exception would be QBs

Worthy heads to USC, he’s nuts.

Always thought Card was a class kid. Why saddle him with a classless piece of **** like Freeze, not to mention having to constantly look over his shoulder wondering & waiting for the NCAA investigators to try to rip the heart out of the program.

I felt we had some players from the Portal that played significant roles on this year's team.

You don't have to search too deep to see my criticism of both Billingsley and Hall but there were other transfer players who were assets to our team this year. You noted Watts and Keilan.

Daniel Trejo- Punter, Diamonte Tucker Dorsey- LB, Ryan Watts- DB, Keilan Robinson- RB and special teams monster, Ovie Oghoufo- LB/DE,

Too bad Dorbah didn’t pan out. Many of us had high hopes for him.
