Back in the mid 60s, hardly anyone attended Texas basketball games in Gregory Gym. I had the pleasure of attending a game (probably a dollar or less) in I think 1966 when LSU came to town. Neither team was really good, but what was good was halftime. Since there was no halftime entertainment, Coach Maravich sent his son (not yet a member of LSU varsity) to "perform". Pete put on a ball handling, dribbling exhibition that would embarrass Curly Neal or Meadowlark.

A great memory of a great player and great human being.

I was there, too, Sabre. What an amazing show he put on. He had an amazing career. Just imagine what he could have done with the 3-point shot. Died at 40 playing pickup basketball in Pasadena, CA :-(
