Just for the record, these rankings do not necessarily correspond to the size of the school. Here are the top 10 largest universities versus their rank in the 2007 enrollment of National Merit Scholars:

    1. Ohio State........ No. 19
    2. Florida...........No. 12
    3. Arizona State..... No.17
    4. Minnesota......... No. 22
    5. Texas.............No. 2
    6. Central Florida...No. 50
    7. Texas A&M.........No. 10
    8. Michigan State.... No. 56
    9. Penn State........ NR
    10. Wisconsin........No. 69

for the record, these numbers dont mean ****.

ou is #1 per capita among public universities in the number of freshman national merit scholars enrolled. why? because they give them full rides. texas, on the other hand, gives them very little.
