caveat: I wrote this before the kickoff to the Texas - Iowa State game.
I cannot think anything anymore due to my discovery that college football is a quantum wave with none of it determined or even predictable. Not even with probability. Nuts!

I'm sure aggyland is gitty and enthralled over Murray.
Below is one way of looking at what he accomplished today. More of my overly-detailed essay posts... (bored waiting for the game to start):
1. Game at Kyle today was next-to-closest loss SC has had this season. Their other, -4 to Kentucky at home. All other loses by double digits, and all on the road.
2. SC lost at Georgia by -32, at Mizzou by -14, and at LSU by -21. So today on the road, not a bad outing with a recent coaching change and losing by only -7.
3. SC is in last place in SEC East. One conference win: Vandy at home.
4. Heard's big game, second start: 527 total yards; Murray first start, 379.
Heard played a much better opponent by a country mile. Of course, Heard's team lost, Murray's team won. Credit scoreboard.
Passing in their big game: Heard 364, Murray 223.
Rushing: Heard 163, Murray 156.
5. Heard has two state championships back to back. Murray has three in a row and never lost a high school game he started. Undefeated in college as well. So far.
The next few games Murray plays will pale by comparison to the competition Heard has played since he started, to include Cal, Ok-State and OU, while aggy will play, all at home, 4-4 Auburn, 5-3 Western Carolina, 3-4 Vandy. Then a real game, LSU on the road.
6. Jury is out until Texas plays Baylor, and aggy plays LSU. Given character issues portrayed by the Murray clan recently, and nowithstanding playing abilities shown so far -- I'll still take Jerrod in a heart-beat for establishing a program and building an identity.
7. Prediction: Murray likely not the starter a year from now (before or sometime during the season), and likely playing only baseball by Spring 2017. Not solely because of abilities. One of those things only Yoda can see.
Longhorn verbal QBs for 2016-17, assuming they sign, should not have to play their first year aboard. Horns' program will develop as a complete Alabama-type (or Ohio State, without off-field problems) team, does not need Savior-Glamour athlete at QB. Aggy likely will continue as a mixed bag of novelty and dramatics, on and off the field. Fun to watch, fun to follow. (I watched the whole game today... I may be one of their biggest non-fan fans!).
Hook'em Horns!
