Does aggy fan really believe Jimbo fisher is the answer? 7.5 million a year? Really? Here is what I "love" about aggy fan. At the end of September they are typically 4-0 and should be ranked #1 after a hard fought home win against online U 14-13. Nice aggy fan! I have NEVER been a Jimbo fisher fan but if he honestly thinks he can win there I think he is actually dumber than the yells he will hear on Saturdays. Stay at fsu where you can actually win!!!! Aggy fan was 7-5 in big 12 90% of the time. Nothing has changed.

Historically aggy is a 5-6-7 win team, with a few up seasons under Jackie in the late 80's or RC in the early 90's and then the miracle season of 2012. One true NC in the year Germany invaded Poland. IMO they would be better off had they stayed in the Big XII...

So, what attracts top recruits / players to THAT program and a dump like Bryan - College Station?

Agree, Fisher would be wise to stay put.

Florida State > agricultural & mechanical college of Texas

Bob Stoops when asked how he felt about a$m going to the SEC and their chances there: "Well they weren't exactly tearing it up here."

Unfortunately not any more. You and I are old enough to remember when a few hundred a month to momma would do it, but then SMU bought that house in Corsicana and everything changed. Cars now come with matching luggage - full of cash.

I cherish that the first home purchase and the first six figure player, neither panned out for the school in question.

Well thank you. That means a lot coming from a hall of fame poster like yourself.

Far from a step up, A$M isn't even a lateral move from FSU. Unless it's about to go sour down in Tallahassee or some such.. I can see Fisher staying put and aggy holding the rope.

Fisher should be smarter than leaving FSU and being in the shadow of Bama, Auburn and LSU. Of course ATM wasn't smart enough to know better. They had a losing record against Tech and thought they could beat LSU if they went to the SEC. Nope.

    From an Aggy homer article:

“And if LSU is a lesser job than FSU, then Texas A&M is REALLY a lesser job than FSU,” wrote Mike Bianchi of the Orlando Sentinel. “At least at LSU, you are the king of an entire recruiting-rich state. At Texas A&M, you will always be the Texas Longhorns’ annoying kid brother.”

Well, Michael Corleone was Fredo’s kid brother. How’d that work out?

So Aggy thinks 100 years or so of being a kid brother (we can start with the overall record which is overwhelmingly in Texas' favor) merits pretending they are Michael Corleone? That's what's amazing about their self-image. NOTHING fazes them. NOTHING.

Fisher waited a LONG time for the FSU job. Something is already drastically changed or is going to drastically change in Tallahassee if he leaves.

That will be the real test for whether Orlando believes Texas has a viable playoff shot in the next year or two...he would HAVE to know he had NO shot at aggy but leaving Texas after the defensive improvements shown in parts of the season would also be saying Texas has no shot (and that he thinks Herman is FOS).

Hope you're right, but that was posted a week ago. Sounds like typical coach speak before a coach leaves.

That was posted one week ago and think about it: Couple of years ago you're in the middle of nowhere and Tom Herman steps in, picks you up, and now you're coaching at Texas and people are throwing your name around nationally. Unless you're a Kiffin type or something, you're not going to walk out on the guy who helped you get there in the first place. I think Orlando 100% will leave Texas to take a HC job at some point... but not until TH has things rolling. Just my opinion :hookem:

Why would Jimbo want to add his name to this list of failed coaches?

    Jackie Sherrill
    R.C. Slocum
    Dennis Franchione
    Mike Sherman
    Kevin Sumlin
    Jimbo Fisher?

Because he lies as well and perhaps more often than Sumlin & Jackie

Because he cheats as much as Jackie, but not as discreetly as RC.

That's for starters, and he is sick of the lack of support in Tallahassee, the stench of the divorce, and being relegated to third choice or worse in recruiting. Plus, Jackie has told him it can be a great gig if you wake them up and organize them.

Fisher and the Tackle Box, they seems to be a good fit from that prospective.

Aggy female fanbase starting to stir about Jimbo enabling Jameis Winston...

    "Not remotely close."

    "Comparisons to Briles are ridiculous."

"Total BS to claim they are similar."

Aggy honor = Whatever it takes to win

Hey, maybe Jimbo is not the same as Briles but there was no doubt whose side he was on.

Yes, the news is that their facilities have become sub par over the years and the university has so far been unwilling to update them.
