Would be so much more desirable if they just changed the name.

My 9yr old son will be happy even though it's trash because it will sound like a step up from the Toilet Bowl I told him last week we were going to

It wasn't...Miami dominated us from the opening kickoff to the final gun. Stan Thomas one of our O-Lineman, made a remark about them that week and they came out swinging. Fueled by a remark the "Hurricanes played a physical brand of football that also resulted in an astonishing 202 yards worth of penalties." Probably the second worse ballgame I've ever been to. The worst was the "Rout 66" back in '97 at home.

That was the most upset i have ever been at a bowl game. I think Miami had 200 yards wo.rth of personal fouls. Seems like we had two players that were suspended and didnt play the game. As much as I dislike the malcontents and Herman I cant root for Miami. Think I will not watch.

I'll watch. Thankfully, most of the malcontents are gone. There are some true believers that will finally get some PT.

I'll watch it for sure. Probably the last time we get to see Sam run the offense and I hope he gets to go out with a W! With Tom coming back nest season, it will be the last time I tune in to watch football. Maybe next year will be his last.

On that note, there are possible implications from last night's Pac12 "Championship"
With USC losing, they will now be in play for the Alamo w Ducks most likely to Rose.
This could work for or against the Longhorns.
Remember, Alamo is first pick after NY6s are filled. They may view UT/USC as too yummy to resist and jump the Cheezits....or they may feel one big name is enough now with USC an option and with UT having just played there last season.

Hearing Texas Bowl still in play, too...but most likely today's Big12CG will send UT to Alamo or Cheez....
Close ISU loss and both ISU and OU may go NY6in with Alamo taking UT....ISU win sends OU to Alamo and UT to Cheez most likely. OU big win send OU to NY6 and ISU to Alamo most likely w UT to Cheez.
Not sure what scenario drops UT to Texas Bowl, if any exists.

If OU losing gets us Cheez I'm all in....
Heck, I'd take the Pinstripe Bowl in that scenario

I was at that game. It was over when the Hurricane players walked onto the field , walking right through Texas players. They intimidated Texas from the start. Michael Irvin on the sidelines slinging a towel during the game leading the crown in singing, it's so great to be a Miami Hurricane. Yes, I remember it.

The week leading up to the game, Stanley Richard (The Sherrif) and Stan Thomas were jacking their jaws all week about how Texas would take care of business. Well, Miami had a little something for Texas that day.

The Hurricanes also set Cotton Bowl and school records for most penalties (15) and most penalty yards (202) in a single game, many of which were for unsportsmanlike conduct. Partly as a result of controversy from this game, the NCAA instituted a new rule stipulating that excessive celebration would be a 15-yard penalty.[1]

Good old Stanley Richard. Supposed to be a top safety with the Chargers in their only Super Bowl appearance. He was shredded very early in that game, and often, by the 49ers. I think that he was chirping before that game as well.

I checked it with Snopes and they confirmed VY does indeed have 3 quarters of one game of eligibility remaining
