I kind of like it being quiet. Sure beats reading that somebody got sent home for violating team rules on the Riverwalk...
Which Longhorns have impressed Tom Herman in bowl practices? Collin Johnson among Longhorns expected to return for Alamo Bowl
So apparently we are going to be running a 4 man front for the bowl game. First off, why are they announcing it if this is true. Secondly, why only now? I know Tom doesn't know shineola about Defense, but the defense we run is always the decision of the head coach. If I had to guess, this is the decision of Ash, and I'm good with it, if we are successful it will be a good sign for next year. The Utah offense will be a good test for what our players can do in this defense.
To show the recruits is my only reason I can think of. Not a bad reason, but you can sell it after the game.
Naivar press conference: Herman at the Alamo Bowl: Attitudes seem very real. Let us hope the whole team gets it.
Texas going BIG up front on early running downs: No scheme change, but Texas D likely to be bigger in Alamo Bowl Kind of like they did for KSU, both top 5 TOP teams.
Time to show some serious pride for the Seniors: Longhorns relying on senior class through coaching changes
Ash is not coaching. Texas has run a four-man fronts before, especially on early Downs against a running team: see KSU.
