do they play in the first playoff game or for all the marbles??? PART DEUX: who the hell do we pull for in that matchup???
My tendency is always to pull against the top dog who is too full of himself. That will translate to pulling against FSU (this year), the SEC (this decade) and Notre Dame (always). If it were merely OU/A&M without the SEC factor, it would be a hard call. With the possibility of listening to the endless SEC, SEC, SEC hype machine yet again, there is no question that would tip the balance toward pulling for OU. I hope it comes down to 5 undefeated power conference champions. That will create an entertaining kerfuffle.
If aggy gets to that point undefeated with their schedule I'm guessing they would beat blowu pretty easy. Alabama, Auburn, Ol' Miss, LSU, Arkansas, and now even MSU ... pretty steep hill. That said I'd agree the SEC **** has gotten old and think another 2-3 more years of someone other than the SEC winning it might slow down the love feast.
In a BLoWu vs eaTme matchup, I'll always pull for the lesser of two evils which, in such a scenario, is always BLoWu. I have plenty of dislike and distaste for mobile-homa, especially after having to suffer through the Switzer years, but there is nothing—and I mean nothing —worse than aggy with something concrete to brag about.
What Bevo Barry said. The world would be a better place if norman and collie station just disappeared.
We despise OU - they are our true rival. And business partner: when the conference realignment was going on - Texas and OU were committed to staying together. A&M ran away. They will debate why and where all day long, but they hauled ***. I don't like it when someone beats OU now: "They can't do that to our pledges. Only we can do that to our pledges."
