Pretty cool thanks for posting. I love these lists, spark quite a bit of heated debate. Here's my 2 pennies. Big 12 has 3 of top 4. Matt Leinart 15? Matt Leinart 17 spots above Reggie Bush? Huh? Punishment? No love for Colt. Tomlinson should have been higher. Just a couple thoughts, again thanks for posting.
VY #1 Ricky #8 Fitting that Vince was #1 out of that group that reads like an NFL All-Pro roster. Shows how good he was, both as a player in genarl and a winner of a championship in arguably the greatest college game of all time.
I think Johnny's stats and play-making stand on their own. Unfortunately he played this past season with one of the absolute worse defenses in our history. Colt would have been lucky to win 6 games with that team.
Manziel would not have won half of his games if not for Mike Evans cleaning up his sloppy Hail Mary passes.
I do. Colt was a more accurate passer, winner and all around good kid. Johnny is a scrappy, competitive douche bag. I would take Colt any day over any Aggy quarterback ever. Now, go post 500 times on sheepags.com to an audience that gives a damn about what you think.
Colt was also not a racist or hang around racist friends who taunt and then fight older men, jumping in to help their racist friend.
This is such a random list, but it is nice to see that VY gets so much love. #2 is also correct as VY and Tebow were the same kind of offensive force. Cam Newton desrves a much higher position, but only 1 year of action hurts. Manzel should be higher as well. In the top 10 for sure. As someone who watched all of Colt's games in person or on TV, I feel he is one of the most underrated and misunderstood players of the era. His value could not have been more obvious in his last game. If he is not knocked out on the first series, the Horns win another NC. He is also one of the toughest players I have ever seen, but he is known for his injuries. Please explain the comments about Colt and racism. I think I missed the meaning of the last comment.
Johnny Football, he's the one who's best friend yells slurs at older black men, then fights them. Then he jumps in to help his friend fight. Then shows the fake ID to cops when they respond. Colt never did that. So Mr. Football is either racist much like that dude from the LA Clippers, putting up with blacks if they help him or he needs them, or has **** taste in friends. I know for a fact if I had a friend do what his friend did I would help the other guy by throwing a coke in his face and beeping him on the nose. Not Johnny, they are besties.
Johnny doesn't appear to be a racist and he had a friend mouth off something that he shouldn't have. I can imagine everyone on here had a friend like that in school. As for the IDs, it's funny to think that at the time, Johnny was able to use fake IDs.
Is it possible that you did and didn't know it? I've got family members who are racist and I've gotten on to them about it but I still see them. Again, this is 100p changing the conversation because he didn't like where it was headed.
I know you're gaga over your team’s sudden mediocre success, but to talk smack about Colt only winning so many games in the SEC…………………..Dude? You can keep your lips firmly locked around Alabama, Florida and LSU’s scrotum, but Aggy couldn't even beat Case (let alone Colt) with the pathetic defense he had.
Here's the worst part of Manziel...he doesn't really stand for anything good aggies value. Loyalty? I'm sure he was thinking about that when he was gambling his teammates' season for some $$$ to buy new rims. Manziel is a self-involved spoiled show me the money rich kid who worshipped UT growing up - which is the exact opposite of how any aggie would raise their son. "I'm young and only 20 years old," doesn't really fly with the aggie fathers I know, especially the ones who make their living in agriculture. But Manziel gets a pass...weird.
In two years, Manziel won one game that was significant. He lost many more - Alabama 2nd time, LSU both times, Florida, Mizzou. However, in Aggy world that is a championship of some sort.
