Hoping all our players can get healed and as close to 100% healthy as possible before Saturday. If everyone is available (except probably Audrey-Ann), we have the depth to win 3 games in 3 days; not sure any other team has the depth. But, you still have to show up and play and give it your all, especially the two teams who get to play on Monday night.
I won't print the bracket until they post one with a white background: this design uses too much ink!
at least this one is easy to read--nice contrast between the background and the text. That's usually my complaint: can't read the text because the background and text don't contrast.
I found a narrative version of the bracket which will do. (I don't want to waste so much black ink on the official bracket--it's visually stunning, but...) http://www.big12sports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=10410&ATCLID=211703135
All B12 posted. Brooke & Ariel 1st Team, Lashann 2nd team. Ariel and Lashann all B12 defensive, but Cox defensive POY. I really think Ariel was more deserving, but I guess I'm biased. Brown overall POY, which I guess I can't argue and you know who COY. Character doesn't matter.
Can't wait! We leave for Oklahoma City tomorrow. If anyone is going for the first time, the arena doesn't fill up and the culture is to allow fans to sit behinf the team bench and move/give priority to player families. I don't think I ever sat in my assigned seat last year. So if the seat you purchased isn't good, don't worry.
https://www.hookem.com/columns/bohls-karen-astons-streaking-longhorns-long-haul/ COY, to me, is determined by which coach does the best coaching job. While I don't like the public persona of Coach Mulkey, I have no problems with her being selected the COY as she has done an outstanding job with the injury depleted roster which forced her to depend heavily on frosh as they went undefeated in league play and only lost one game overall. And, except for a couple of games besides the loss, they pretty much obliterated their opponents. One can dislike her but one cannot fault the coaching job she has done this year.
Texas will face the game two winner between ISU and Tech. The ISU-Tech is Friday at 8:30 PM on FCS. ISU swept the series this season, 66-54 and 69-57. In both games, ISU build up a double digit lead and managed to maintain it during the second half. My guess is that we will face ISU Saturday at 6 pm but Tech is capable of pulling off the upset over ISU if the Lady Raiders can establish their inside game. They were unable to do so nor did they slow down the trio of Wise, Durr and Carleton in either game. http://texastech.com/news/2018/3/1/lady-raiders-head-to-big-12-tournament.aspx http://cyclones.com/news/2018/3/1/womens-basketball-cyclones-ready-for-big-12-tournament.aspx
I expect ISU to advance past Tech; they just want the season to be over, and understandably so. For us, even though I don't like playing ISU based on their offensive style of play, I think it will benefit us that we just played them this past Saturday. So, game-planning and understanding their tendencies will be very fresh in everyone's minds.
Pre-Big 12 Tourney Media Availability. (Maybe I'm in a grumpy mood but it seems reporters frequently ask lame questions.)

Iowa State thumps Tech, 74-49. Probably one of the worst seasons in Lady Raider history, not just the W/L record.
Does anyone know if the team is staying at the skirvin again? If so what time do the band, cheer, and fans gather in the lobby to give the team a send off to the arena each day? eg, 2 hours before the game?
