With all the progress this team made since the UTRGV game they lost everything this week. If we had any semblance of a decent regional chance we just screwed ourselves into a very difficult region. I swear I don't understand how this much talent can play this poorly.
I don't know if we have that much talent, but i'll tell you this, and anyone with any baseball acumen will tell you, a lot of teams could beat this team with much less talent by simply playing solid fundamental baseball. In fact, would blow them out.
This team displays poor fundamentals in every phase of the game and every team they play going forward is going to take advantage of it.
Pierces' worst trait is he has no idea when to yank a pitcher. Even after an entire season he can't figure out they are done and leaves them in one or two batters too long. On the other hand Boehm was performing well but was a victim of crappy fielding but he pulled him anyway. What a dipsh**.
