This is how your handle transfers and retain credibility with recruits that (1) it is a family atmosphere; (2) you are looking out for the student-athletes and not just your program; and (3) once your are part of the program you are always a part of the program. Well done Coach Herman!! He allowed the transfer to a in-conference opponent. He gave Bonney a hug on the field showing he has no personal animosity. He has never said anything but positive things about Bonney.
Classy. Had he stayed, he would have seen quite a bit of playing time and a few starts, particularly now with the injuries. With Bonney at S in place of the injured Jones, we may we’ll have beaten WV. While I never saw Bonney as fast or a hard hitter, he was cerebral, smart and as I recall, a good tackler. Funny how things work out.
