And the purge continues.

 

"......decided to graduate".
Not sure why, but I laughed.

 

I'm not sure either of these situations could be described as a purge.

 

Purge?

You mean it's the Junction Boys 2 or something?

 

With these 2 players gone - on top of Moss & Scott - I think the total "purged" is now up to 4...

 

I suspect that the word "purge" might be pretty accurate in Benson's case.

Benson: "I think I'll hang around for another season and see if I can't get me one more tackle."

Staff: "No, Aaron, you've decided to graduate."

 

The good news is that Benson's campus enjoyment included going to class and taking care of his course work. Doing that and playing D1 football too is a significant accomplishment. We should congratulate him on his academic showing. It's no dishonor to graduate with eligibility remaining.

 

I hate to see these go and especially Bensen.

But like the David McWilliams 90's slogan said;

" Whatever It takes" WIT

 

Don't we have players leave EVERY year? For whatever reason. Too lazy to do the research, but 3-5 players leaving/transferring seems like a normal yearly occurrence.
