    Coach Patterson thinks so.

Assuming BYU and Utah maintain decent records and Air Force stays decent, all that would need is one marquee non-conference opponent next year. This isn't Boise State where the next toughest team in their division is a 35-0 dog to Notre Dame.

Next year, they have Baylor and SMU, and I don't think they could get someone else to play them, but in 2011 they have TTU, and in 2012 they have OU. If they went undefeated in either of those years, they would have possibly 3 or more BCS ranked teams on their schedule. It would be silly to leave them out.

Its like what DKR said, "First Notre Dame has to lose."

For TCU... "First SEC,BIG XII, PAC-10, ACC have to lose."

This was a strange year with 4 undefeateds still left from the big conferences. If this were 08 I think TCU is within striking distance of playing for it all.. but not a shoe-in... just look at Utah. Definitely would get in if this were 07 where we try to debate what 2-loss teams are in.

    Yes, they can.

But there cannot be multiple BCS AQ teams that are also undefeated. Hell, if Corn and Gator win this weekend, they have a pretty good shot at making the game. It is not out of the realm of possibility. The BCS bowl game wins of Boise and Utah have gone a long way to lend credibility in the minds of pollsters that an undefeated non-BCS conference champ is deserving. One could even make the argument that they are somewhat hurt by the success of Cincy and Boise this year as BCS busters have split votes among the three. However, the OOC schedule MUST include BCS team wins to offset the lesser conference argument.
