I remember Mack taking 4 guys from Texas City in the same class, and its not like they were the number one team in the nation that year, so why not?

 

But the Texas City situation did not include a national #1 recruit guaranteeing his services IF his buddy was included in the deal.

 

And it was Mack's first signing class on which he started work two whole months before signing day. Mack took pretty much whatever he could get that year. Not an analogous situation at all.

 

Ah yes, the TC4! If memory serves me right Everick Rawls, Ervis Hill, Tremaine Anderson, and Tyrone Jones were all good prospects getting offers from other teams.

Rawls and Jones became 3 year starters and the other 2 were on the field some as backups.

Mack's first class was a good one considering he only had 2 months.

A few weeks back, some of us shared your sentiment. Others did not.

 

We always get posts that ask why didn't Mack offer this guy or that guy. While Mack and the coaches do miss and not offering Christine Michael was a head scratcher, most of the time they're right regarding character issues and high maintenance guys.

 

If that guy doesn't go to Clemson we should kill him.
