College Pick em 2018

I did pretty well and just stood pat at 4.
A few of you guys must have really hit it.

 

I forgot to set my confidence scores that week. Not smart...

 

I am not doing too well this season after getting a 92% rank last year. 60 something % oh well. I still have my 8,9, and 10 pointers intact.

 

In the interests of fairness...

Just as an FYI, the West Virginia game is being cancelled (or at least postponed). As such, it should be the lowest confidence level game of the week.

The news came via VSIN this morning. Expectation is the game will be made up next month, with the October 13 game likely resulting in WVU seeing a game against Iowa State (I think it was ISU) shifted to a Thursday night game.

I'd keep checking back as there's more than enough time to substitute another game. Probably BYU-Wisconsin.

 

Man...had that as my second highest pick.

The rules have a provision for cancelled games...so this is not the first time. My guess is we just have one fewer game this week...

They were talking this afternoon about NC State having rejected an offer to play the game in Morgantown. Consensus was that NOBODY really wants to go play there because of it being a historically difficult environment. Discussion then devolved into what it does for the season win total bets...

 

Lots of interesting games this week. Plenty of chances to move ... up or down.

 

Was reviewing my picks and there's a message that the WVU game that's cancelled will count as the 10 point pick for everyone. Max points this week is 45. Everyone needs to put that game at 10.

They could not have chosen any more confusing wording.
It seems to me that it doesn't matter where you put the game...all levels will be adjusted as if you put it at 10.
Right?

 

I'm still keeping at a 1. Agree with badass it is an interesting week.

 

Doing that means you can't get one point if you're right. Putting it at 10 means nothing.

 

IDE, I think Rain has it right. No matter where u place it, it will be treated as a Non pick at 10.

IDK...it was written by a 3rd grader... probably Finebaum. Who knows....it's the X factor for week 3. I'm gonna put W Virginia at every line so I can't lose any.

Could have been better. I knew Boise was too trendy a pick to be true but went with it anyway.

 

I got the Cowboys, but lost on Auburn (8 points yikes)

 

This week's games are up. Some really odd picks.

 

I took one for the team today hoping for reverse psychology and picked TCU with 10 point confidence.

At least we get the ball to start second half. I picked Texas but only for one point

 

If I would have picked Texas, I would be tied for the lead.

Go ahead and keep playing Rain. You can still beat me. I missed a week one year. Still played just for the sport of it.

 

Wouldn't say you were cooked...there are some good match-ups this week that seem primed for an upset sort of outcome...which makes the confidence points that much more critical.

 

Didn't want this to get lost. Haven't made up my mind on OU game yet. We'll see.
