Certain I caught it Nov 14, had a relapse right at XMAS. Tested negative for flu both times but was sick as hell, flu like symptoms. Then my wife caught it after XMAS, she tested negative for flu as well. On my post XMAS visit to the doc she said I had a heart murmer or such, fwd'd me to a heart specialist who couldn't find a thing. I work out on my spin bike and / or ski machine in the winter. 45 minutes hard, never felt tired in between the flu like symptoms. On days I had the symptoms it was all I could do to make it thru a work day It's a bear, no doubt. I still cough up mucus on a daily basis pretty much, energy level is good most days, down others. Even still, it's no reason to kill the economy by shutting things down. That's far worse than a pandemic we've ever gone thru
My family had it according to our physician. Blood work confirmed it. Daughter in January, wife and I had it in early February. Don’t want to have it again. Our Doc said if we get it again it will not be as rough, same symptoms, just not as debilitating.
Reading what Horn 2 and Bevo J went through makes me glad I did and continue to be cautious, wearing mask indoors, social distancing washing hands and generally staying away from groups of people I will for sure keep.doing that I am sorry y'all caught it before we knew what it was But am.glad you are mostly ok now
I think I wrote way back 732 pages ago that I likely had it in January. Not as bad as @Horn2RunAgain but not pleasant. Then again, no ailment is.
You probably did contract it. Early on, if I recall correctly, there was not much publicity about the virus, at least not until March when folks began to die from it.
If it was travelers early on, they are healthy enough to survive. It only became a problem when it got into nursing homes. At least 60 and possibly 70% of all deaths have been in nursing homes. Older folks at home make up the bulk of the rest.
Conversely, though, coughing up small amounts of mucous could very well just be related to seasonal allergies. I know in the early days of the 'rona, they were claiming that the cough was a non-productive one. Coughing up mucous would be the opposite of non-productive.
Updated daily deaths - we hit a daily low going back to March Unless you live in assisted living or an old folks home, you have a greater risk of death driving to or from work than you do of dying from the corona virus
Unable to confirm this but have read that each positive test is counted as a new case In other words, if a person tests positive, it counts as one case. When that person is tested again, as he or she will be, and tests positive again, it is counted as another case. If the same individual is tested 16 times until he/she finally tests negative, all those tests on the same person counts as 16 cases.
Tested positive for antibodies last month. So I'm assuming the November illness was c19. You may be right about allergies (mucus) but I've never had summer allergies before. Mtn cedar in winter big time, but summer allergies would be something new.
A. My wife tells me that's racist. I don't agree. B. EU May Ban Travel from US as it Reopens Borders, Citing Coronavirus Failures Karma.
The government reaction to the corona virus around the world and even in the US has greatly disturbed me. The government has found a lever of power that they can exert over all of us. I suspect they will do it again as soon as they can even on weak pretenses. I wrote an article exploring the issues a bit. I approached the subject from the direction of how Christians have reacted to the government responses based on their understanding of Romans 13. However, much of what I am thinking applies to believer and non-believer alike. Take a read if that sounds interesting to you. The Church And State in Romans 13
My hospitals are seeing a slight uptick. Most are quarantining at home. Plenty of ICU beds available and also plenty of ventilators.
Ok Bubba. A bit of advice. Your wife controls the primary resource in your trailer. Never disagree with the wife.
Yes, death is at 23 daily (7 day average) despite 4x increase in positive tests. Similar story in CA and FL.
I'm assuming that hospitalizations and deaths are a lagging indicator. So, we don't know yet. Give it 4 weeks and let's see if it holds.
It’s been 4 weeks since no. of infections started increasing. You don’t have to wait 4 weeks anyway. They don’t put people on ventilators for 2-3 weeks like they used to (except the young folks who can survive it).
