Donald vs Koch Brothers

The repeal of Obamacare, weak as it is, is in doubt with a significant number of Republicans set to oppose its repeal. Trump and Ryan will apply political pressure to change their minds (what committees they work on, campaign support, etc.). The Koch brothers have basically offered large sums of money to any Republicans voting against repeal, and withholding money to those who do. This is American government for sale to the highest bidder; democracy in name only. Citizens United is the law of the land. "Money = Free Speech" and I have more than you do.

No matter where you come down on Obamacare, how can you expect good results with a system which has become so compromised?

 

It's the same deal in regards to Gorsuch. Financiers on the left threatened to yank campaign funding from any Dem who votes against a filibuster.

By all means, this is happening on both sides. Even with the new health care bill, I assume in-fighting between Reps has much to do with special interest conflicts.

As long as special interests have the power to cuckold politicians through campaign funding threats, our system will remain compromised.
