i can't remember a team that climbed to number one midway through the season, fall from the top 25 by season's end.

Man, we need to turn this thing around. It's been a fast ride to the bottom. Maybe we can go equally fast back to the top. One thing for sure. It's time for Barnes to do some serious coaching. This group needs it.

 

Yep! Its the same as the early 80s from #4 to can't find the floor in a few short weeks. What a dissapointment this team has been. Top talent and yet they stink on ice.

 

Since the first loss, this team has already won more games than the 82 team won after Wacker was hurt. The comparison just isn't that apt, at least not yet. Lose the next 5 conference games and maybe you're there.

 

At least that team could point to the injury as the cause of their demise.

 

This team has an injury and it's called coaching. Rick Barnes is a great recruiter but unless he has NBA talent at the PG, his offensive schemes are garbage. It's time to hire and Offensive Coordinator for Basketball because Barnes sucks at it.

 

Yet Texas leads the conference in scoring while being by far the worst at free throw shooting.

 

Kansas put up 94 today, so Texas no longer leads the conference in scoring.

 

yeah, looks like we actually have something to look forward to next year. but damn, did huggins recruit all those badasses to kstate? they looked pretty strong to me.

 

As much as it pains me to say this, we have certainly earned this new ranking. Looks like a very fast exit for us from the NCAA tournament.
