I thought this was an odd photo caption: "TO THE HOLE: Pacers guard T.J. Ford (center) has the skills to drive to the basket, but he lost his starting point guard job because the team was unhappy with how he involved his teammates in the offense, which relies more on ball movement" considering that TJ was always a pass-first guy even when attacking the hoop, and it talks about Jack getting a "stranglehold" on the starting PG position because of a 31-point, 2-assist performance.
Mar 25 2009 Indiana 90 Miami 88 Jack 41 min 6-16, 13 pts, 3 rebs, 4 asst. Ford 33 min 8-14, 20 pts, 9 rebs, 3 asst. (Coming off the bench)
Mar, 31 Ford hit the game winner with 3 sec against Chicago to keep Indiana's slim playoff hopes alive. Ford finished with 22 pts, 9 assists, 4 rbs, 1 stl, and 2 blocks in 38 minutes.
I saw that. Good for TJ. By the way, coming out of college, I would have never guessed TJ would 2 blocked shots in an NBA game. Impressive for a kid that is 5'10.
