Hope you're right for your sake ... but ... we got ATT uverse in Amarillo a while back but it was internet only ... no TV
I'm loving it so far. -- Two wireless receivers were provided free. -- Record 4 shows at the same time and watch them on any TV. -- No delay on picture when changing channels (was a problem for TWC). -- Hide channels off the guide that you'll never watch. -- Added the multiple versions of Showtime, Encore, Starz. -- Multiple versions of FSN SW (Dallas, Houston, San Antonio). Only downside is that my download speed is 12mbps (vs 15mbps at TWC). Watching replay of '13 UT-OSU right now. All in HD. For same price (or a few bucks less) than TWC.
and SW Austin. none of which happen to be convenient to my place of practice nor should I have to place a house on the market to buy something else to be able to view LHN...but that doesn't stop people like you from being assholish about it. It seems all too easy for you to gloss over the fact that some who previously contributed to the University get the shaft by virtue of a network that lacks carriage in a consistent manner throughout the State.
We should start live chats while watching the LHN to really piss those people off that either won't switch or live in the middle of a vacuum!!! Dude, take a chill pill,, your bitching at someone who is happy because you can't get something and then you blame the university? wow dude you really need a hug, if there was hugging emoticon, I would insert here.
I agree that I haven't had to record 4 shows, but I have had a need to record 3. It happened when the wife, the kids, and I all wanted to watch a different show in prime time... but we had a commitment outside the home. On Saturdays in the fall, it would allow me to record 4 games (if CBS, ABC, Fox, and ESPN all had good games on).
Not sure if this isn't just a regional/local problem with uverse, but we switched to them in February and have continually had problems in the afternoon with intermittent freezing of every system (phone, internet, cable) for about two hours. Very aggravating and when we call to complain we get Sargent Schultz ("I know nothing"). Sarge promises to check into the problem but NEVER solves it or calls back. We are in Lakeway, so perhaps in other areas you won't have this problem. On the subject, though, LHN is great for the most part and I assume that when we get into football/basketball it will improve. Rowing coverage is, uh, well, um, great if that's your nephew, but, come on.
Was just trying to make a point about things that are not universally watched. Thanks for the correction.
SectionThree, Sounds like either a modem or "outside" issue. Assuming they have cycled the modem it is in their lines. Ask for a line supervisor (the guy over the maintenance of the lines in your neighborhood). It gets better in the fall through baseball (product on the field sucks right now, but the production is first class). 7 - 8 hours of live Texas Relays.
