I am NOT a tree-hugging global warming alarmist, but by coincidence came across this article on Aviation Week earlier today (it's an awesome website if you love aviation & aerospace/defense subjects like I do). This AvWeek blog appears to use the same Grace satellite data to reinforce the idea that climate change is indeed causing melting of the ice caps (contrary to the article cited by the OP).
When you have two versions of reality presented on a topic, would you choose the one that makes you seriously contemplate painful change in personal and public policy or the one that lets you keep doing what you are doing as cheaply as posssible?
