How do people afford nat'l championship tix?

Not sure the odds of getting tix as a grad student but they will be full face value tickets. $200 each.

 

Back to the OP, we view Longhorn football as our vacation, similar to what Bernard and someone else said earlier. We don't give each other birthday, christmas, anniversary, valentine's, etc. gifts at all. Longhorn football is our gift to each other. We don't take vacations except what we build into Longhorn football trips. In '05 we weren't LF members yet so we gave up our entire christmas and my christmas bonus and my parents took us. We lucked out on that because it was completely unexpected; we were already planning to go and we invited my parents and my dad blurted out that it would be our christmas present. This year we're LF members with 4 NEZ chairbacks so our donation better be high enough for anything we want.
