Texas fans watch Texas lose to OU: God we suck. I've been saying it since the beginning of the season. Texas fans watch Texas beat OU: God we're awesome. I've been saying it since the beginning of the season.
Very True. Bottom Line: I want to win every game, Big 12 Championships, National Championships and do it with class and upstanding players. It's not always going to happen, but that's what I want. I love a football team I can be proud of in every sense of the word.
OK...but we were talking about big gains....and off the top of one poster's head, the last such big gainer was 2 years ago, by one of CFB's biggest playmakers at the time. We could go into all the virtues and drawbacks of the 2 yard out, which is, in effect, just a more dangerous version of a running play, but not here.
I don't get the point of this thread; of course that's how I watch UT football. As to the sideways offense, I am much more concerned about the "everyone meet in the backfield and stand around" running game than I am the horizontal passing attack.
I am of the opinion that if you are a supposed Longhorn, and you constantly bag on other Longhorns "as a whole", you are either just ignorant or a piece of ****. who needs aggies or sooners? if you can't realize that all football fans are like this, especially internet fans, then i just can't help you.
I rarely enjoy a BH post but this is solid and needs to be said. Internet posters, for the most part, need to mellow out. That said, let us have some fun.. How BH enjoys gameday... Wednesday: Binge drinking on Saturday. Thursday: Binge drinking on Saturday. Friday: I'm going to get trashed tomorrow. Saturday morning: I'm going to get trashed today. Right before kickoff: I'm so trashed. Halftime: More binge drinking. End of game: I so got trashed today. Right before he passes out: Binge drinking today. Check!
of course Nebraska has the BEST fans in the world. surely after a win today, it would all be peachy over there on their message boards, right? i mean, they won, right?
I know it has been thankfully infrequent, but you left out one other real scenario. Texas loses a game, no matter to whom. - Fire the head coach and the athletic director (or at least the Offensive Coordinator).
Someone long ago posted a line that said it perfectly: if you gave a Texas fan a bag of money, they'd ***** about the bag.
I do not think about OU except one game a year. I do not compare our other opponents to OU or AM. Every team circles us on their schedule. We circle next weeks opponent. This is the biggest game or at least top two of every team we play. The OP is not my opinion, and if you think that and you have your degree from TEXAS, then you expect nothing but perfection. Not only from the graduates but from the team. I run across people from all walks of life, but when I meet someone that graduated from TEXAS, I understand my need for perfection, and they confirm it for me. Sorry, the only two moments that I regret as a Longhorn are: 1.) Throwing ice on the ice cream man in 1994, he really pissed me off, I was young and AM had our number for the longest time. 2.) Calling for Major in the 2001 Conference Championship game to stop the Simms bleeding, then everybody started booing all 50,000 thousand of us in Texas Stadium. Otherwise this post just sucks including me for contributing.
