It's funny how everyone's internal thermometer is different. While I don't necessarily like 100 degree days all the time I sure as hell don't enjoy the cold and snow. I like the climate here.
It's all a matter of degree. It is possible to be too cold. However, in general I kinda like walking around a mid-sized city in a nice coat, scarf, and a stylish hat in a light snow. My ideal temperature would be a high in the mid 30s and overnight lows in the mid 20s. I also like being in the mountains. Basically if I could live anywhere, I'd live in Salzburg, Austria. Perfect climate, urban but not huge, beautiful surroundings, great food, beer, and schnapps.
Way too cold for me. Perfect temp is in the 80s where I can wear my shorts and sandals. I don't like wearing clothes. lol. I admit colder areas are pretty with the snow and the deciduous trees in spring/summer are way prettier than what we have in Texas but I hate the way cold feels.
Salzburg isn't too windy. The UK is another matter. 40 in the UK feels like 20 in most places because of the very wet wind.
I love, love, love cold weather as long as it's not too windy. I spent a lot of time working in a former Soviet country where it reached -40 (same in C or F) in the winter. I would walk a mile to my office every morning and loved it. Still my favorite commute of my life. The locals thought I was insane. They would cram into a horrible little school bus to get to the office. In their culture, being cold was the same as being cursed.
I was standing about ten feet from Ron Jeremy years ago at ACL Fest... He looked quite rough but was a source of major fascination to everyone. A young woman came up to me with wide eyes and asked, "Is that...." and I said, "Yep." She goes, "Omigod."
you cite an article that stipulates that "The water that covers ...earth surface is increasing BECAUSE of GLOBAL WARMING" as evidence of the GW/CC hoax. Interesting debating technique ?!?!?! I would stipulate that many liberals are full of hyperbole to the extent of essentially being liars but there is ample evidence to take this seriously. Not enough to upend every economic foundation we have but certainly enough to not blow it off entirely.

The problem with CC is that is now an institution. and like Labor Unions, the Military Industrial Complex, Political Parties and every other "institution" it has taken a legitimate concern and effort and turned it into a business. The people at the top of the food chain now see it as their responsibility to sustain the "institution" even if it means embellishing and hyperbolizing the threat to the point of essentially lying.
