I’m looking forward to our new crap conference

The SEC is 0-4 in its first 4 bowl games (0-5 if you count aggy pussying out of its game). I’m starting to warm up to this new conference, think we might just recapture our mojo…

I'm not mocking anyone's performance in a bowl game when we didn't even make one.

Still, if we could land in SEC east we could play Georgia every year to advance to conference Championship.

No this is a great point- the mighty SEC always promotes their superiority.
Just spent a week in Seaside/Watercolor FL. Go if you get a chance- it’s unreal great place to go … I digress.
The drawback is that it’s in the middle of Redneck Rivera and 75% are vacationing SEC types. Ya know, bowl haircuts, everyone had a TN, AL, GA or the worst of em all LSU -sporting the SEC uniforms hat/logo team polo/ every car bumper stickered, personalized plates “Geaux LSU” or “Bulldogz” my wife actually looked at me as we were at the pool and a LSUed man being overconfident strutting around - she said “welcome to the SEC”, Scott”
    I already miss the B12.
Can we call a mulligan and join the Pac12?
    On the bright side.
We do get to schedule two NAIA teams now.

Vacation etiquette aside, this is working out a lot better than I imagined. We're moving from an underrated, low pay-out conference to an overrated, high pay-out conference. That's a great business move.

I do see- and was wrong initially- that this move keeps TX blue chips in TX.

Heard some SEC sportscaster giving a rambling nonspecific “motivation” challenged type excuse but when the ‘stronger’ SEC teams play later it will turn the record around where it should be. Moron

Isn’t it interesting that TAM was obsessed about joining that conference, without hesitation or any forethought, and has accomplished almost nothing since.

For most of us, we make the move with plenty of trepidation.

What they don’t know now, but will within the next 3 years is that this #1 recruiting class will have the delusional Aggies expecting a NC.
That will not happen and they will melt down.
You let Jimbo win 8 games, remember 2 are absolutely ridiculous NAIA opponents, and they will call for his head.
And down the rabbit hole they go.

I’ll just leave this right here. Well, I reckon this makes Boomer Sooner a little easier to take.
You all wanted the SEC. You got it.
Man, forget THE Eyes of TX- I’d support the TN players for refusing to sing this just because I can’t see how they can get through the lyrics without causing a few brain cells to call it quits.

Before I take heat for “what’s wrong with this song” , I’ll raise you with “What’s right with this song?”
Starts off with a couple of strangers looking for moonshine who apparently get the Deliverance treatment, then right over to beastiality with a half bear and the other half cat . At least she was “sweet as soda pop”

Update- folks this is all tongue in cheek from me. To my VOL friends, just having a lil fun.

Love the Seaside/30A area, NR. Not what it use to be...but still like it in general. Like everything else...the more people find out about something the more things start changing...and rarely for the better.
Still a lot to like for our growing family for the most part.
On a side note I looked into what it would take to buy there about 10-11 or so years ago and complained to my wife it was too inflated because of the Truman Show..Small property would be around 500-600+k
Yeah, that property is like 2+mil now.
    ...Genius.

Yessir- the first time I went there just to walk around roughly 30 years ago- I couldn’t afford the 500k price tag.
I go every year and much like the past- I can’t afford the $3.5M price tag.
    Stunning place.

Blasphemy, Scotty. Drop a quarter into any dive jukebox in Tennessee and choose Rocky Top. Proceed to watch every single person in the joint start dancing like hillbillies. It’s really one of the greatest songs of all time... :smile1:

Watching the current game. I was thinking LSU was looking pretty good against MSU. It took me a quarter to figure out that Pitt was playing.

    WorsterMan SEC here we come!!

So GA & Bama both won Sat. to make the SEC bowl record 3-5?

Then LSU loses to KSU so the record is 3-6?

After Monday GA - Bama, the record will be 4-7?

    If my math is correct....

CFP finals don’t count for the very reason that two teams from the same conference may play each other.
