looks like USD isn't quite living up to their lofty preseason rakning. (but I'm really happy we're not opening with those guys again)
My same thoughts on A&M. If Rivers is their ace, they could be in for trouble. Pretty shocked that Matusz got shelled against a mediocre SDSU team. Volz and Crow are legit. Definitely the two best pitchers in the league, IMO.
Think I'll have to head down to Long Beach and catch one of the games with Rice. Sounds like I missed out on a good one tonight! OU is also playing at UCLA, but man, the only similarities between Jackie Robinson Stadium and DFF is proximity to cemeteries. If 50 fans make it to the UCLA game, they may run out of peanuts by the 2nd.
NORTHERN Colorado has a baseball team but Colorado doesn't? The more I see of that school the less I like them.
I'm glad G.I. Johnny got us back on track in that game last night because that first game was a DISASTER. We were down 5-0 after one inning and 12-0 by the middle innings. It was a nightmare.
A&M loses 7-inning game one of Saturday DH to UNColorado 3-1. Left the tying runs on base to end the game. Olsen Magic indeed!
lbst has just scored in the bottom of the 8th and now has a 3-2 lead on rice. go dirtbags. 3 outs away from winning the series.
UNC just seems to belong to the Tar Heels, but thanks for the info Beau. I can't believe that I had not heard of their history. Makes CU seem all the more wimpy for not fielding a team.
Some idiot over on Texags posted that the season is already lost and that they should just, and I quote, "fore fit" the the rest of their games. I'm uphauled, yet this sits well with me.
Don't look now but your neighbor to the south is off to another good start. Texas State beats SFA, Sam Houston and Illinois, all by one run, using good late inning relief pitching and one ninth inning two out RBI to beat Illinois. I think the Texas State/Texas three game series should be fun this year once again.
