While that story goes to the extremes, the extremes are enough to scare me into wanting to do whatever I as a citizen can do to help right the ship. WTB Line-item Vetos
That's just, like, his opinion, man. And I'm not saying that he's right or wrong, but I will say that, having looked at his resume online, he's been a network administrator for roughly 20 years or so. He doesn't seem to have any special expertise in economics.
OK- that is positively, stupifyingly ******* absurd. He is predicting that it could all go to **** tommorrow but his fixes (even if implemented today) would not have any affect for months/years. Chicken little hysteria of the greatest order. This kind of ******** does not advance the public good or discourse in any way shape or form. Too bad too- b/c his central premise of getting out of debt, having 6 months of funds on hand to tide through the hard times etc is good, solid fiscal sense. But then he dons the tinfoil hat and acts like a ******* loon. I feel dumber for having read some/most of that.
