Our very own Kat Nash was suited up for the volleyball team this past Saturday and actually played two sets against Ole Miss.
I once read somewhere that she was actually better at volleyball, basketball was just her true passion.
Yes, she was a one-time UCLA volleyball commitment prior to Jody offering her for basketball (or before Kat decided she wanted to pursue hoops instead). She does have one season of eligibility left for a sport other than basketball, but there aren't currently any volleyball scholarships available for the Fall semester. If she decides to go to graduate school, maybe she'll walk on to Coach Elliott's squad.
Hmm, she did get that $4,500 Robin Roberts/WBCA Broadcasting Scholarship Award. Maybe she will play VB. Wouldn't the first time one of our hoopsters gravitated to the VB court after finishing their BB eligibility.
