Goes to show, in case you didnt know, MONEY MAKES THA WORLD GO ROUND. Though, Jeff didnt get the memo.
There's a guy that has really impressed himself. What a moron. I wonder how many names he dropped, and how many times he mention that he was the top donor.
What a monster of a cock-sucker. Without commenting on the merits of Jeff Hathaway's performance, this letter exudes a total lack of respect for process and a complete misunderstanding of what it means to "donate" in support of a particular effort or cause.
Holy crap, this guy is freaking pathetic (Burton, that is). He really really reminds me of Buddy Garrity who ******* and moans and whines when he doesn't get his way. This guy is not an AD, this guy is not a coach, yet he feels he knows more about doing both than people who are. He doesn't really seem to grasp what a "donation" is. A donation is something you give away without expecting anything in return. Apparently he forgot that because it appears as though he assumed that by "donating" money he qualified himself to decide who gets hired and who gets fired. The funniest part of it all is he is nothing more than a "tshirt" UConn fan. But wait, he received an honorary doctorate degree so I guess that makes him President of UConn.
This donor obviously didn't get the ear of the school President either or he wouldn't have had to write this letter.
He comes off as a huge tool (obv), but unfortunately he's right. Money talks and he's earned the right to ***** and moan even if he sounds like a total douchebag doing it.
He's not right. There's a difference between "investments" and "donations." He obviously doesn't understand that, being the awesome ************* venture capitalist that he is (notwithstanding putting a couple companies into bankruptcy). And being drafted into the NFL doesn't make you a ******* personnel genius. A 19th round OL draft pick for doesn't reek of success. It reeks of mediocrity. ***.
If you're the largest single donor to any organization, you deserve to at least be consulted on major decisions even if they don't listen to you. He was only asking to throw his 2 cents in after throwing in $7 million. Look at our government, we make the largest aid donations to countries abroad. I'm pretty sure we expect a little influence in that country's government as a result...
Give him his 3 million back and tell him to shove it up his colon. With that said, Hathaway needs some understanding as to how to communicate to donors.
Hmm tell you what.. First off this man thinks his own dung doesn't stink. I hate the sob and i never met him. If he's such a great judge of athletes coaches and so forth why doesn't he take the AD job. Sorry people like this just make me want to puke. They feel just because they have money they have power. And shame to say most of the time they do.
I don't really get this guy. It's UConn football, c'mon, really? Uconn is only good at one thing and that's basketball. It's a basketball school, why this guy was throwing around all this money at a program that isn't going to be relevant again for another 100 years is pointless. This guy has no direct connection to UConn, why isn't he throwing all his money at his non-honorary alma mater(s)?
