Hourly Weather Forecast for Miami, FL - The Weather Channel | Weather.com Times are Eastern Time Time...............% Rain 2 pm...............51% 3 pm...............52% 4 pm...............19% 5 pm...............19% 6 pm...............19% 7 pm...............65% Our game starts at 2pm Eastern Time (1pm Central Time). I think we may be able to fit it in between 4pm and 7pm, if not earlier. There may be some rain delays, but I think we'll get it in.
This is key for our defense, ball isn't going to hop at all like it does at the Disch, going to have to stay disciplined and keep that glove down.
Fortunately, we begin play against a team from South Louisiana. I bet they've never seen a rainy field before. Then, we take on the host Miami.
With Carlson out, we have two automatic outs in the lineup, hopefully they can become more than that now that their team needs them. JF is closer than he's been all year, seems to be seeing the ball better.
Maybe Flores will have a good day at bat at DH. I figured Galvan or Belyeu might be at DH. We’ll see.
Good thing it’s not you. Unfortunately, who knows who is the right choice. JD may be your 4th OF and pinch runner. He has the least pop of the options, and you lose him for those roles if he DHs. And actually, he may be your best PH option too.
I just want that spot to get a hit. Between JD, JF, and RG, JD is the only one with a batting avg that is higher than his K percentage. Agreed he is not going to get you a dinger, tho.
I would agree more with using Duplantier as a situational PH with RISP because he's shown to be such a great clutch hitter. Having said that, I would like to see him at DH since Carlson is out now. I have no idea why coach hasn't used him there unless he's looking for the right opportunity for PR. But Duplantier should see playing time this weekend. It would be tough for me not to give Galvan more at bats with his power, he strikes out as much as Flores but when he makes contact its on a rope some where and hard to handle by the defense if it doesn't leave the yard.
Can't disagree with this at all, i've been advocating for just a little higher avg from these two spots all season. Having one in the 9 hole is understandable, but we have two and when O'Dowd disappears we have three. Thats three innings with absolutely no offense you're giving the opposing team. This puts a lot on the rest of the offense. Thank god O'Dowd has been a little streak lately, hopefully he keeps going.
Yep. Jack may be a key to this postseason. He's been knocking some homers lately and hitting for a pretty good average. We need a batter or 2 to emerge from our 6-9 spots.
