I'm actually a tennis player, fan. Not much into golf. This round and the previous round is, was match play. 1 player against another player. 1 plays to win the hole. 18 holes played but could go into "overtime." Once a player beats his opponent, 1 point goes to the team score. 5 players on one team. First team to 3, wins and advances to the next round. I've probably missed something with the explanation.
