Can't look past Penn. But, if we can manage to win that one, facing MD on their home court will be tough. Still, I think we can win it. So proud of the team!!
This was about as well as I think we could've been seeded. I like our chances for the sweet 16. Even facing Tennessee I would like our chances because the team remembers giving the game away in Knoxville. I like us vs MD because we're evenly matched. If we can keep them off the glass anything can happen.

Agree, the draw is a good one. On a neutral floor I would say we'd have an excellent chance against MD, but even playing there I think we can pull off the upset. We have to get past Penn first, but I don't think that's going to be a problem for this team.

Of the different #5 seeds' draws, I think we are right in the middle. #5 OSU drew #4 Purdue on the Boilermakers' home court, and #5 Michigan State has to play at #4 North Carolina. Would have been great to play at the "neutral" Los Angeles regional, where #5 NC State matches up with #4 Nebraska. But, the committee couldn't put NC State at UNC or Maryland as all are in the ACC, and couldn't send Michigan State to Purdue with both being in the B1G, so that is easily explained. This team deserves that #5 seed (Top 20 type season); important to win that first round game for the future of the program, and go for broke with nothing to lose in the potential second round game.
I hope you're right. We don't "feel" like a top 20 team to me. It does seem silly that some of the #4s get to play at home and some of them don't.
