NCAA grants additional eligibility for fall athletes With additional eligibility granted for the 2020 Spring sports, and now this, how and when does basketball get some of the same consideration? With hoops being a sport that crosses semesters, is it a Spring sport technically? I don't believe it was included in the previous ruling. Thoughts anyone?
I would guess it depends on the start date of this season. If their season starts before the fall semester ends, I doubt they do anything for basketball and other winter sports. If it’s pushed to early in the spring semester and possibly conference games only, maybe the NCAA revisits the issue.
