Okie St. Football Punished for Poor Academics

    They're losing one practice day every week during the upcoming season. That's a huge penalty coming from such a toothless organization. I wouldn't want to go up against Briles, Snyder or Strong on a short week of practice. Wow.

    On a related note, there's the following article in today's Statesman regarding the APR of all Texas programs, as well as the other Big 12 football APR rates.

    Interesting that they left the football APR of Oklahoma State out of the article. I assume it was at the bottom and left off due to space constraints.

    It's not quite as bad as losing one-sixth of the practice time. Oklahoma State can practice 18 hours over five day. Regular limit is 20 hours over six days.

    The punishments in this new system seem so arbitrary ... about like we always expect of the NCAA.
