…….At……. We take on the Pokes on the hard court today in Stillwater at 1pm Central. Columbia Broadcasting* will televise the match. *that’s CBS for you post-millennials. The 7-5 Pokes have lost 4 of their last 5 games. They have an anemic O, but they play very good D. OSU is a defensive team in search of an offense. Their interior defenders are particularly good. Moussa Cisse - 7 footer. He’s a shot blocker and a defensive force down low. Calib Boone - another tall shot blocker and interior defender. OSU will play good defense, try to keep it close, and hang around for a potential late game surge and victory. They were tied with KU at halftime. Look for a low scoring affair. Fortunately for us, their lousy offense turns the ball over a lot—something our D is good at forcing. Go Horns!!!
Woah! Disu beats Cisse (7 footer) down low for the score!!! The refs are really letting them play physical. Must be Big 10 refs—no blood, no foul.
That’s what we needed! Bishop with the breakaway slam dunk!!! Cisse looks more like around 7’2”—with muscle and athleticism. With some good big-man coaching, he could stick in the NBA for a long time.
We are lucky lucky lucky to only be down by 2 at halftime. The Pokes are out hustling and out muscling us. They are very physical and must spend a lot of time in the weight room. The refs are letting them play, and they are fighting through our screens and setting hard screens that we aren’t fighting through. Lots of pushing down low too. They are a very physically strong basketball team.
Agree I think they got it together finally. I hope they can keep it up and finish strong. But I am not worried
