So the DL/ST coach will be responsible for evaluating recruits in the West Texas region while the OL coach will cover the East Texas region. No matter who we hire for OC, DC or any other position, the next posting the University needs to publish is for whoever writes these job postings. I believe Akina relinquished it because he was tired of it. I would also imagine it is tied to the coach because we already know who we are hiring. Also, in regards to MD, I think they are waiting to see if he gets the SC position at Colorado before trying to reassign him.
