Big WTF in Dallas. Memphis defender just cheap-shotted Shane well after he was down. Shane gets his revenge. Slant pattern for a TD. SMU 10 Memphis 3
Ponies are moving it down the field again against the favored #25 Memphis Tigers. Wow! Long TD pass by Shane! SMU 17 #25 Memphis 3 Folks, we may have just identified the best college football team in Texas this year. Too bad Sonny Dykes grew up liking SMU.
SMU scores again. It was a long play, but I missed the very beginning of it. Robertson has three catches for 182 yards already in first half. SMU leads 24-3 with more than 9 minutes left in second quarter.
SMU would probably beat any college team in the state now. Memphis players are losing their $hit. Throwing chairs on the sidelines, infighting, raging ... Quick, someone tell the Memphis players they’re in Dallas, not Portland.
I really like the way SMU designs their offensive plays. They’re rolling out Shane, mixing up their formations, running some screens and misdirections, and generally being unpredictable—despite being a pass heavy team. Shane has plenty of time to throw and he picks the opposition apart. There’s a certain joy in the way they play. It’s also fun to watch. Now bring back those swaggy Dallas jerseys and triple D hats.
A&M receiver drops very easy short pass on fourth down. Alabama ball. About a minute to go until half
Memphis knocking on the door 2nd and goal. SMU 27 Memphis 20. TD Memphis to even it up. SMU would still beat us, Tech, aTm, Baylor, UH, and TCU. But they might have their hands full with Houston Baptist.
His defense is scary good this year. If the Mullet had his usual QB play this year, he’d win the conference and make a run for the playoffs.
